When students first arrive to New Zealand, we offer orientatin services so that they have a quick opportunity to get familiar with the surrounding things and people. This is also a good time for the students to ask questions.

  • Airport pickup
  • Homestay preparation. This includes: pre selection, police vetting and preparation of a family selected to match the student’s requirements as much as possible.
  • Homestay introduction. This includes: helping the student to move in, student homestay guide in own language, wallet size student address card, student homestay rules which are to be signed by the student and the host parent, follow up calls (usually day 2 and 9).
  • Language school location and introduction.
  • Discussion and printed material on laws regarding driving, drinking and smoking.
  • Help with the purchase of initial stationery.
  • Opening of a personal bank account.
  • Explanation and location of the post office.
  • Explanation and location of the bus exchange
  • Inner city tour.
  • Explanation on how to use international phone cards.
  • Help with the purchase of a cell phone if required.
  • Advise student of the status of their student visa and renewal times.
  • Free student welcome pack which includes a welcome gift, 2 stamped postcards, NZ$ 10 international calling card, Christchurch map, and a bus map.
